Why your business should be on YouTube

Want an easy way to grow and market your business online? Are you trying to build a brand and become more visible online? Then YouTube might be for you. Keep watching to find out why your business should be on YouTube.

Why your business should be on YouTube

If you’re just getting started online growing your business or brand, you probably have these goals in mind.

  • You want to get started creating your brand.
  • If you have a brand, you want to build brand awareness
  • You want to build authority on your topic or niche.
  • You want to build social proof. Which is basically proving that you’re a real business and not trying to scam people.
  • Maybe you’re trying to build a community or grow your email list.

No matter which goal you have, creating video content for your business will help.

Video is the fastest way to grow know, like and trust, and that’s because people can see, hear, and get to know your personality if you keep creating consistent videos.

Even though every social media platform has a video element now, in this video, I’m going to specifically talk about YouTube.

Video Hosting

YouTube is a great platform for video hosting. It’s free and easy to use.

This is great because if you’re creating videos for your website, you save space by adding the YouTube link for your video instead of uploading the video to your website.

Even though your channel is owned by YouTube, you can still brand it to fit your business. It’s like an extension of your business that you don’t have to pay for.

Search Engine

YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine and it’s owned by the 1st largest search engine, Google.

When people search for things in the YouTube search bar, they get a number of videos related to their search. That means if you’re creating videos on ‘Copywriting for social media’ and someone searches ‘copywriting for social media’ then your video content will show up if it’s popular or if there’s not anyone else creating videos on that topic.

This means you’re promoting your business on YouTube for free, so you’re marketing your business for free with YouTube.

Awesome right! Remember, I also mentioned that YouTube was owned by Google. That means if you’re video content is relevant to the search terms in Google, you’re video will also show up in the Google results.

Doesn’t that motivate you more to have your business on YouTube?

Easy to repurpose

If you don’t have time to create content all across your social media channels and for your website, you can repurpose your videos.

I won’t go into this in great detail since I’ve created a video for this. It’s called ‘Repurpose Your YouTube Videos’, and you can find the videos in the cards above or in the description box below.

But basically, you can repurpose your videos to create social media posts, blog posts, and other content.

Passive Income

You probably already know this, but you can monetize your YouTube channel, which means that you’ll get passive income.

If you’re creating consistent content and grow your channel, you’ll be able to monetize your YouTube channel. That means you’ll get paid if viewers watch your content.

To monetize your channel, you have to apply for it. Once you apply,  you have to have 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch time hours to get approved.

But once you’re approved, you have one more revenue stream for your business.
