Do you think creating videos for YouTube is just for extroverts? If you do, then you’re wrong! In today’s video, I’m going to show you why creating videos for YouTube is not just for extroverts and how to make YouTube videos without sucking. And if you didn’t know, I’m an introvert. I’m actually an INTJ.
When you think of famous YouTube creators, you’re probably thinking that they’re outgoing, personable, charismatic, and great speakers. You probably think you have to have the same qualities if you’re going to create videos for your business. But, that’s not the case. All you have to do is be yourself and have a plan.
Are you on the fence about whether you should be blogging or vlogging for your business? Well, creating content for your business is all the same, right? Wrong! Depending on your goals, there’s a big difference between blogging vs vlogging for your business. If you haven’t figured out by the title of this video, today, I’m going to answer ‘Should I start a YouTube channel?’ and give you 5 reasons why I switched from blogging to making YouTube videos.
When you’re first starting out blogging, you won’t have any traffic especially if you’re starting your business from scratch. I know when I first started my blog, all I heard was crickets. You see all these articles about how you should create content for your business because it’s the easiest way to market and attract your dream clients to you, but just because you build it, doesn’t mean that they will come right away.
Yes, you should be creating content to grow your business, but instead of blogging, you should turn to making YouTube videos. Here are the 5 reasons why I switched from blogging to making YouTube videos.
Today I’m going to talk about using a teleprompter for your YouTube videos. When I first started my videos, I thought it would be so much easier if I could use a teleprompter, so I added Little Prompter to my Amazon wishlist because it could be used for webcams, phones, and an actual camera. After sitting in my Amazon wishlist for almost a year, who knew that my sister would actually get me one for Christmas?!
TELEPROMPTER FOR YOUR YOUTUBE VIDEOS? (Little Prompter review)
Little Prompter set-up
Setting up Little Prompter was actually easy once I realized how to follow the instructions to set it up. The instructions are straightforward and it doesn’t really take a lot to install it. To use this teleprompter, you’ll need a tripod. It ONLY comes with a teleprompter. I film all my YouTube videos on a webcam so I specifically set up the teleprompter for my webcam.
How to use Little Prompter
The first thing, of course, is you need a script. Before you use a teleprompter for your YouTube videos, write out your script first, then you need a teleprompter app for your phone. I have a Samsung phone so the app that I used is Simple Teleprompter. This, of course, is an Android app. I don’t know if it’s also an iPhone app.
How are you staying connected with your community during this pandemic? Because of social distancing, it’s been a little hard to be active outside, but you still have options for staying connected. Learn how to stay connected during this pandemic.
How to stay connected during this pandemic
This week I was supposed to talk about YouTube Video Ideas For Beginners, but I didn’t want to ignore what was happening in the world. This morning, I saw that social distancing is going to be extended until April 30th. Crazy, right? For some of you, that’s a big deal. For someone like me who works from home and comes from a family of people who don’t like hugging others anyways, then it’s super easy.
We all know why social distancing is important, right? We’re trying to minimize the people who get infected with the Corona virus because we don’t have enough resources to save everyone if they get infected. We don’t have enough ventilators or enough doctors. With this in mind, you would think that community leaders would be on board.
Unfortunately, I keep hearing about this pastor in Louisiana who keeps defying social distancing orders and holding services for his people. Why does he keep holding services and endangering the people who follow him? Some people are saying that he’s using this pandemic for his own political agenda. Maybe he’s trying to elevate religion over government. Others are saying that he needs donations from his people because you know, churches survive on donation.
I have another idea, maybe he doesn’t know enough about technology. That’s why I’m giving him and anyone else who needs ideas on how to stay connected with their community, 7 ways you can stay connected with your community during this pandemic. It doesn’t matter if you’re a church, a business, a school, a celebrity or just a normal person, you can use these tips to stay connected and keep in touch with your audience.

YOUTUBE VIDEO EDITING (BTS of how I edit videos QUICKLY!)
Today I’m going to be talking about YouTube video editing. Specifically, I’m going to give you a behind the scenes look at how I edit my videos quickly. So I know I’ve talked about simple video editing or video made easy in a video before but I thought it would be easier to show you how I actually edit my video.
01 Get organized
Before I get into how I edit my videos quickly for YouTube. I wanted to talk about planning and filming. Those two have to be organized before you can quickly edit your videos. So if that’s a mess, then this video editing isn’t going to work.
Open Adobe Premiere and name your project after the video that you’re actually editing. A few weeks ago, I talked about organizing your video files. You’re going to add your Adobe file (or your software file) to the folder called ‘Editing’ your YouTube video file. Make sure all your files are named correctly. Even your footage should be named with your final video title and then numbered in sequential order.
Are you confused about YouTube SEO? SEO helps you get found by search engines. That includes Google, YouTube, Pinterest, and so on. Even if you don’t have a big audience, it’s good to optimize your content so when you do grow bigger or someone randomly searches for your content topic, they’ll be able to find you. This is such a big deal for YouTube. People are searching for videos to help them solve problems all the time. That’s why you should optimize your video as soon as you upload your YouTube video. Learn all the things you need to do to optimize your video in this YouTube video upload tutorial.
YouTube Video Upload (Everything you need to know to optimize your video!)
Today I’m going to talk about everything you need to know to optimize your videos. Basically, this is just an updated version of “How to Upload Your YouTube Videos,” but we’re going to be talking about YouTube SEO. So if you haven’t uploaded a video yet this year, YouTube has actually updated their uploader, so now you can only upload one video at a time, but don’t worry, you can actually go back to the classic version. I’m guessing that they updated the uploader because of the new rules with the kid content. They want to know if you’re creating videos for kids or if you’re not creating videos for kids, but really, if you go to the defaults, you can actually check to say that your channel is not for kids or if it is for kids.
01. File names are important when you upload YouTube Videos
Before you upload your video, the first thing you need to do is name your video file. The name of your video file is important because it’s also part of SEO. Don’t just upload a video that says “video one,” or “YouTube video one,” or some people use dates for their videos. Make sure you name your file what your YouTube video title is.
Do you take forever to edit your videos because you’re unorganized? Well having a process in place will help you save time. Keep watching to find out how to organize your video files so you can edit your YouTube videos faster.
How to organize your video files so you can edit your YouTube videos faster
I’m a total neat freak. I’m the type to keep all my stuff organized and put things back where they go. Yes, I’m one of those people who organize their closet by types of clothes, color, and occasion. I know exactly where all my stuff is and I never have to look for anything.
Even my mess is organized. Right now on my desk, I have Post-its and papers everywhere, but in a way that I can find what I need quickly. You might be thinking that I’m so awesome for keeping my stuff organized, but let me tell you, it’s out of laziness. That’s right, I’m too lazy to clean, so I put things back where they go. It’s that simple. The same principle applies to video editing.
